She had grown used to seeing
The name appearing in her in box
And actually looked forward to those messages
At first, they had been very casual
And she had given nothing away
But over the months…
She relinquished her grasp
And the walls surrounding her
Started to crumble
A friendship was born…
Or so she thought…
It took a little while for her to realize
The end had been so casual
Not even so much as a ‘goodbye’
No hugs, no kisses, no handshakes, no initials
Just no more…
No more anticipated names in her in box
No more fun poked
No more laughter
No more joy
No more…no more…no more…
Where once had been a happy thought
A blank space replaced…
Words…they were after all..
Only words…
Or were they?
