By and by.
If it bleeds, then it leads.
Great vision, dirty deeds.
That’s how the story go.
Make it real, make ’em feel,
Strum emotion’s drums, appeal
To a vain and venal motive sunk so low.
Put the blame on the victim.
Rely on that dictum,
That’s how the story go.
So they’ll never know what’s licked ’em,
Protect the system.
Be warmed by corporate glow!
For the media’s, percieving ya,
As one dumb, jill or joe.
While the media’s, decieving ya,
‘Cause it thinks you kinda slow.
For the media, is telling ya,
All the news you need to know.
That the media, is selling ya,
A bill of goods for show!
Put the blame on the victim.
As a mistake or a symptom.
That’s how the story go.
Put justice in a thimble;
With the law, the hollow symbol,
That guards the status quo!
While the media, is feeding ya,
The usual pack of lies.
‘Cause the media, is needing ya,
To buy and buy and buy.
By and by.
By and by.
And the media, is bleeding ya,
Like leeches you must thwart.
For the media, is weeding out,
Those left of conscious thought.
While the media, is greedier,
Than a bankster’s grunt and snort.
The piggish eyes grow beadier,
As they sell the public short.
They can stick it up their rectum,
For their plucks not worth the plectrum.
That’s how our story go.
And the less we recollect them,
Their dull colours in the spectrum,
The more we hear them crow.
‘Cause the media, is cheating ya,
Of the truth they won’t report:
That the media’s, defeating ya,
By circus, sex and sport.
While the media, is leading ya,
Up pathways primrose high.
‘Cause the media’s, just a seedier
Whore, that dollars buy.
