‘I don’t know what I’m doin’,
riskin’ wrack and ruin.
I’m jack of burnin’ candles from both ends.
For all my fro and to-in’,
it’s righteous juice I’m stewin’,
I’m back and I’m pursuin’ love again.
I see the holes, cathartic,
on the punctured globe; Antarctic!
I see the poles of brilliant cobalt blue.
I see the tear, in the frozen air:
an ozone layer, beyond repair.
I see the whole dark planet come unglued!
For all the crude doomsayin’,
the rapture and mad swayin’,
to the loomin’ final days do we descend.
For all the rude soothsayin’,
the barkin’ dogs are bayin’,
they scent pitchblend decayin’, in the wind.
I’m no good at debatin’.
A mind disintergratin’,
must concentrate it’s focus to extend.
From the mystic heights, unpuffin’,
as a god-like lord stud muffin,
I’ll give you much more lovin’, in the end!
With all my senses reelin’,
with brain and blood congealin’,
I’d base jump from the ceilin’, for your love.
For that’s my heart you’re stealin’,
the gentle part, revealin’,
a feelin’ soul, beneath this mask and glove.
So we sup our teas, darjeelin’.
Quote mantra and faith healin’,
to see the eagles wheelin’ high above.
In our cups of ease, relaxin’,
among drips that please like Jackson;
from chaos, satisfaction, comes like love.
I don’t know what I’m sayin’,
in tongues and speech displayin’,
a heart torn out and flailin’ in the wind.
In the cosmic scheme, entailin’,
the dreams of men, unfailin’,
it’s deja vu replayin’, once again!
