Outside the city where the pomegranates grow
I take down one and give it a throw
the impact caused the seeds to burst
that’s how I know, even fruit, they hurt
See this town is cold, but this town is new
this idea in my head, I have no clue
Emotion lies in everything, even in blue
but in the fruit I threw, I never knew
It screamed, it cried, not knowing why
it bleeds, it tries, I spy
to piece back together, it can’t reconnect
and now it’s me that feels guilty, just perfect
Something so simple, something so small
had a heartbeat, now against the wall
and I stand before you, only two feet tall
a black eye in tow for my bad call
Outside the city where the pomegranates grow
tears liter the ground, a galaxy in low
I trade pain for pain, blow for blow
I shattered one world, they bring life to my own
