When I wake up at dawn, hear her voice, feel alive!
My first thought’s two-edged prayer, “God help me survive! “
Still, her musical words carry warmth, have a grace,
That few men ever find (though they search outer space) !
I’ve observed that her mind has a singular track,
For she loathes to receive what she cannot give back,
What I give, can’t return, (LOVE! – no human deserves!) ,
Twice, thrice, passes it on, thus addressing life’s curves!
“Cut your hair? ” this one gift that she gives others too,
Hard to not feel her grace (if your home is a zoo!)
Where what’s curled is made straight, straight reborn new as curled
And the colors invested in, out of this world!
In her shop, ‘Kimmy’s Bliss, ‘buds of orchids aspire
To new beauty awoken in all! Who can hire
The light love gives so freely; there’s never a fee!
Where if Truth’s what you’re seeking, you’ll find honesty.
What you don’t hear at first, she extends to you thrice,
If you seek inner beauty as well, her advice
Ranks with best I’ve encountered through all of my years,
To consider her absence can bring me to tears!
How I bless invitation to Opera! Swear,
(La Boheme does end sadly) love’s dream was born there!
On the arm of a rich man, I know (loved him too,)
Still, I left with her number; love’s first act was through!
Oh, this world’s full of terrors we all should resist,
And yes, months would go passed (wait for lips to get kissed!)
Do we fight? Sure we do! Live in faith each heart’s true!

Let me publicly thank ‘PoemHunter.com’ for allowing contributing poets to delete all ratings (and comments) on a poem they object to. Several new poems (‘Life With Kimmy! , ‘ ‘Oh, Don’t Blame Me! , ‘ and ‘Can’t Make Me Stop! ‘) were given a 1.0 rating for a 2nd time today by a sad anonymous troll who apparently feels no admiration for my rhymes. I am sorry for the state of your soul, Sir or Madam, and hope that God is able to bring you peace someday!
I would consider allowing your 1.0 rating of these three of recent poems to stand, but alas, you seem unwilling to defend your values with a comment that has virtue or suggestion as to how I could make a poem better. I could also give myself a 10.0 to replace your rating (and probably deserve it for this poem) , but my poetry is its own reward. Your opinion appears to be only dog poop jealousy or simply hatred for some reason.
