Wars are fought and men have died
Some were lost and some survived
And all for the right for you to choose,
They were just like you and I
Hugged their children, kissed their wives
For Freedom, they did what they had to do
Banned together they stood tall
They fought on as friends would fall
For me and you,
And when the battle it was gone
In the morning of the dawn
The flag of Freedom it still flew for truth
So many paid the sacrifice
Drenched in blood for what is right
Stained and tattered our flag flies today,
The memories of these brave men
I hope we remember now and then
For your Freedom, these men, their lives gave.
