Is it just me,
Or is the restraining oneself from the pen
A measure of wisdom?
A war that can be won with little effort,
Has no glory,
Even if the cause is just
And fighting for glory alone is a sin
To post just to post,
To what avail?
There is a place for sweet rest
Dreams come to those who extinguish reality,
For whatever wind blows their way
And surprise comes when the tongue yields to the ears
When a prayer becomes an endless chant,
It loses the personal touch
There is no treasure on treasure island,
Except a mirror
The drunkard will not be satisfied with the next drink
Nor will the glutton with the fat of the day
To kick back is to let it rest,
And to let it rest gives way to humble sleep
And we all need sleep
