Errors In Gibeah
I’d rather be judged by a sinful man
Who knows that all have sinned,
Than fall into the hand of a self- righteous man
Who thinks the world must live up to him.
For we each have a sin that controls us all,
Our own particular sin;
And no one escapes — the great or the small —
This slavery from within.
Were the sins of Gibeah more dreadful than
A man who would sacrifice
To the torturous hand of evil man
Another, to save his own life?
That through my sin I have seen this truth,
So that I may put it down;
And that You forgive me my particular sin
Is kindness beyond renown.
